Champion Beer of Britain (CBoB) voting is now open, and all members can have their say. Please go to the CBoB page for more info on the voting process. It's Easy... do it NOW!
Now that the 2015 Good Beer Guide (GBG) has been published, we now turn our attention to preparation for the 2016 guide. The first part of the selection process is down to CAMRA members. When you visit a pub, please score the beer quality! Pubs that receive a lot of good scores are in a good position to be selected for the guide. Shortlisting starts in December, so make sure you score the beers you drink, especially over the next month. It is now very easy to score, from within WhatPub.com, so give it a try.
A new e-petition has been set up to try and persuade the government to bring in legislation which would prevent the easy conversion of pubs to other uses. Such conversions to supermarkets and other retail stores, or demolition, can currently be carried out without obtaining planning permission, which makes it all too easy to lose a much valued pub. Please go to the petition page NOW and sign up! If the petition gains 100,000 sigs, it will force the government to respond.
